Sunday Around The House

I love lazy Sunday mornings. We had no where to be today, so I slept in until 7:30 but didn't get out of bed until 8:30! Love it! I worked on things around the house and helped the husband clean out the garage. I finally got around to eating breakfast around 11. I toasted up 2 slices of TJ's Sprouted Flourless Wheatberry Bread and topped it with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light for 3 POINTS...

A while after breakfast, I did The Shred for my workout. I haven't done it in quite a while, so I went with Level 1. Totally kicked my butt. I forgot how hard it was! I upped my weights and used 5 pounders and my arms were burning. I even had to stop a time or two! I have gotten all pansy-ish again! Jil would not be happy ;P

After that workout, I deserved a nice big lunch! I decided on a tofu scramble. Are you tired of hearing me rave about these??? I can't help it; they are so good! Really! Tofu can be yummy :) This scramble was made with 1/2 block of Nasoya Lite Firm Tofu, red onion, sliced button mushrooms, baby spinach, roasted peppers and a slice of 2 % cheese. I crumble and brown the tofu first, in nonstick cooking spray, then add the remaining ingredients and cook through. Couldn't be easier or more delicious. Using the lite tofu makes this really low POINTS. The entire block comes to 5 POINTS; I count half as 3 POINTS. The veggies are zero and the addition of the cheese is 1 POINT. So, this giant serving comes to 4 POINTS! So awesome! I had room to add a serving of Triscuits for 2 POINTS and some grapes for 1 POINT. This was one filling 7 POINT meal...

Later in the afternoon, I broke out the popcorn for everyone to snack on. I always forget about this. It is a great volume 1 POINT snack...

Dinner was a Salmon Roulette, Gram's green beans and 1/2 c. brown rice. A quick tip for brown rice- boil it like pasta! I know that sounds strange and not the traditional way to make rice, but if you just put your desired amount of brown rice in a pot of boiling water for about 30-40 minutes, then drain it; it comes out perfect, fluffy and with a great texture! It got 2 thumbs up from the family. A nice, healthy 8 POINT meal...

Okay, now for the dessert. I ditched the Vitahearts and tried out my Chocolate Espresso Glaze on a Deep Chocolate Vitatop...

SCORE!!!! This was so amazing! Rich, chocolatey and very decadent-tasting! And only 1 POINT! You'll be seeing this a lot :D
I'm clocking out early tonight. I have my friend's Dad's funeral in the morning and I know it's gonna be a tough day, so I'm going to get some extra rest. But, come back tomorrow night for a really FUN giveaway!!! Have a great night!

Gnawing, Lunching, Snacking

I have that gnawing feeling today! I have wanted to eat all day. I have kept it under control so far; my TEAM ANGIE members are on my mind and helping me hold it together. For those that may be wondering what that means, I signed up for the Biggest Loser Blog Edition 2 Challenge; you can click on the link in my sidebar for more info. I'm excited about it (and nervous, too) and hoping it's the booty kickin I need to get these last pounds off! Thanks to Angie and Lynn for putting this together for a second"season"! Anyway, on to the food...

After my 45 minute run on the treadmill (yay, me!), I had a yummy breakfast of PB2 and a tsp. Smucker's Sugar Free Grape Jam on an Thomas' 100 calorie English Muffin and a 1/2 c. of applesauce, all for 3 POINTS...

After breakfast, I headed out to pick up my Gram for an afternoon of shopping. We stopped for lunch at Panera where I had a delicious garden vegetable soup, 1/2 of a turkey sandwich and an apple...

I should have been satisfied with such a great lunch, but the gnawing feeling was still there so I nibbled on a small Hershey's Dark Chocolate with cranberries and almonds that I snagged at Gram's house!

After dropping Gram home, I stopped at Starbucks and got a tall nonfat, sugar-free cinnamon dolce caffe misto for a nice 1 POINT treat...

And this afternoon's snack was some popcorn, split with big daughter. I definitely needed the "volume" of this snack to keep me munching so that I didn't go for some other, more tempting treats ...

Well, I'm off to make some dinner for myself because we all know what the husband and daughters are having tonight! (hint : Friday Night!!)

Yucky

I know I already established that I feel pudgy, but now I'm adding yucky. Yucky and pudgy. I think it's the weather, which is also yucky. Okay, time to snap out of it!

My lunch was not yucky; it was YUMMY! Yucky weather = soup; soup= sammie. I had a delish grilled cheese, spinach and bacon!! Really easy- just a slice of 2 % cheese, handful of baby spinach and a slice of center cut bacon cooked in the micro (gets a lot of the fat out this way) between 2 slices of light seedless rye -spritzed and grilled. My soup was the Trader Joes Creamy Tomato. My cup runneth over...

I was munchie again today. I have been picking all day. Little bites of this and that; I didn't even keep track. The pudge will continue I guess. In an effort to clamp down on this picking, I decided to have a real snack. I picked popcorn for its volume factor...

Dinner was "heat and eat"again. Remember this dinner?? I had made my own "frozen dinner" with leftovers from the other week. I nuked it and ate it right out of the container! Laaaaazy!

I still feel like eating. I grabbed these Hostess 100 calorie Strawberry Cakes to nibble while I am posting...

Goal for tomorrow -
Do not feel pudgy AND yucky at the same time :1
