Breakfast was an Arnold Sandwich Thin with a wedge of Laughing Cow Light and 2 tbsp of hummus. A yummy 3 POINT combo...
Then, I headed out to take Gram to get some bloodwork. After that, we picked up my Mom, went back to Gram's living community and met my Dad and nephew for lunch in one of the restaurants there. I ordered a Mediterranean Veggie Wrap made with romaine, cucumbers, tomatoes, red onion, red pepper hummus and feta and a side salad with lite Italian dressing on the side. It was very good! I estimated it at 6 POINTS...
Later, I had a snack of prunes and an Italian fig cookie for 4 POINTS...
Then came my second "snack" which was all the chocolate in Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory. Yes, it's a real place. No, I can't tell you how to get there ;P Oompa loompa doom-pa-dee do. Can you tell chocolate makes me crazy?? Sigh. Moving on....
Dinner, as if I needed it, was the last of the leftover Greek lima beans mixed with orzo for 8 POINTS. I love these beans! If there are any Greek blogfriends out there who have a recipe for this, I would love to have it!!! Who knew lima beans could be so good...
I'm not thrilled with how things went down today, but I'm hoping tomorrow will be better. I feel like I am in limbo right now. I'm not at goal yet, I want to lose more, but I'm just "hanging out" and not giving it the hard core press I need to get to the end. Any suggestions??

Marissa,
As you know by reading my blog that I have had some bad days but I continue to move forward and you know what? It has gotten better is you it doesn't have to be perfect. I think I get down on myself when I am not right on but you know what? It is ok I don't have to be perfect to meet my goal I just have to never ever give up.
I know this will pass for you as well and I give you so much credit for acknowledge that you had a little bump in the road. You did you acknowledge now move on.
You are always blessed with a new and fresh day to do that.
I know you can do this! I am one of your biggest fans!

Um... would you believe I live less than an hour from Charlie's Chocolate Factory?

Every woman is entitled to 1 chocolate incident a month... calorie and guilt free... Keep going, I am following your exact path.. the better/faster you do the more confidence I gain.. Can't wait to hear what's next!
I can soooo relate to "hormonally challenged" days!!!
And you are so right, there is always tomorrow to get back on track... :)
I had that kind of day last week, and sure enough "Aunt Flo" showed up a few days later.
We all need some chocolate to keep our sanity once in a while. Think of it as a public service, lol!
Sometimes we just gotta have that chocolate fix...and i think it is okay....as long as it is not a daily thing. that is what keeps me on track. If my diet is too rigid and I dont allow myself to indulge once in a while I will fail. We gotta fit the life into the lifestyle.....you do an awesome job!
i think you do a pretty great job of eating intuitively most of the time! i am also pretty sure that you don't give into your chocolate cravings or sweet cravings every single time you have one otherwise there would be many more desserts mentioned in your posts!!! that being said, im guessing that in this case, you had one of those overwhelming "i have to eat this or else i will think about it every second and i just want it and could care less about the consequences" moments. honestly, i think it's probably best to just go with it in that case!!! as long as you aren't always like that, i genuinely think that willpower CAN win out unless it's really just not meant to! it happens to EVERYONE, except maybe one of my old fitness clients and she didnt even eat pie on thanksgiving. who wants that?!?!
have a GREAT wednesday!!!
keep at it Marisa!!!! don't beat yourself up ! You've done the most important thing - got back to counting!!!! you can doooooooo it!!! xxx
(*ponders a roadtrip to visit Dee as she, too, is mired in PMS*)
I think it's normal to have those days. Let's face it, we can't be perfect every single day. If that was the case, none of us would be or would have been overweight. Like we said before, we need to find the key to this and unlock the door and then we'd make millions! You are doing great and keep it up!
Must have been something in the air because I had a chocolate attack too. What's up with that?! I was tired and irritable and chowed on chocolate. It's not even that time for me! I must have been feeling ya. LOL
Hang in there. :)
Hey girlie ~ do not be sooo hard on yourself. You STILL had alot of great, healthy eats in there even with the eats you wished you didn't eat.
The important thing is that today is a new day and a chance for success - you can do it, just take it one meal at a time!
I hear ya on the chocolate thing! I loooove chocolate! Don't beat yourself up about it! We all have those days, you just have to move on and start again tomorrow! :)
chocolate does have some health benefits, so don't worry too much! :)
I think you’re doing great, Marisa. :-) You know, it’s just not possible for us to be perfect all the time. We dieters so easily fall into the nasty trap of browbeating ourselves when we engage in a temporary diet faux pas. That can lead to major feelings of guilt, which can lead to more off-diet eating to try to make ourselves feel better. Vicious cycle.
There’s really nothing wrong with having a little chocolate binge during those hormonal times as long as we allow ourselves to focus on, and thoroughly enjoy, what we’re eating, and then get right back on track afterwards.
It’s all about finding balance…and I think you’re definitely going to find it soon. After all, look how far you’ve come! :-)

that wrap sounds amazing :)
love the prunes too!
I just read Kathi's comment, and couldn't agree more - every day is a new day!
My mom loves lima beans, wish I did!
Thanks you guys! You are all so awesome!
Jenn - lol at public service! I would be great on the front lines of battle at this time of month :)
Amanda - hi friend! I bought the orzo with the other pastas in the supermarket. They are sold in both box and bagged. It's yummy :)
