No time to work out this morning. I had a coffee date with my pregger friend, Rosemary (who is due this month!), so I had to get out the door early. Before I left, I had a quick bowl of Quaker Crunchy Corn Bran (3/4 c.) with 1/2 c. unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze and strawberries for 2 POINTS...
While coffee talking, I had a tall nonfat iced latte with sugar-free white chocolate syrup for 2 POINTS...
Our morning coffee ran into lunch time (we're so chatty!). I had to stop at the store on the way home and by the time I made it home, I was so hungry and shaky! I grabbed the quickest thing I could find in the fridge - salmon salad. I spread it on an Ezekiel Bun and had a side of TJ's Sour Cream and Onion Rice Chips and carrots for a body fueling 7 POINTS...
Then I did the happy dance because my shipment of Vitatops arrived!!!! I was down to my last one. I ordered these the other day and chose the Mother's Day Pack which allowed you to choose from a list of your favorites. I chose Deep Chocolate (my #1 fave), Fudgy Peanut Butter Chip and a new one to try - Banana Nut! I am soooo excited to try that one! Mmmm... a box of goodies....
With this Mother's Day promotion, I got this "Gift of Health" for free...
A box of 12 heart shaped chocolate muffins! How cute...

I couldn't contain myself. I had to try one right away....
I feel sad. I didn't like it that much. I KNOW!!!! Can you believe I just said that about my beloved Vitas! Well, I think the issue with these hearts is that they are pretty thick, therefore a bit on the dry-dense side. I like "dense" if it's moist, but not "dry dense". Dry cake sucks :P However, Vitatops are not as thick, so that's why I haven't had the dry issue with those guys. They are the best! I think I'll pawn these hearts off on the daughters. I'll ice them up with a frosting of their choice and they'll love them. No, they will HEART them. Sorry, it's Friday and I'm tired ;)
Dinner was homemade calzones for the husband and daughters. I didn't have time to make whole wheat dough for myself, so I went for some leftover pizza that I had in the freezer. This pizza was made with spelt pizza dough which is awesome! I had this veggie pizza and 2 super sweet clementines for another quick meal of the day. Delicious for 9 POINTS...
I was tempted to have another Vitatop for dessert, but I felt pretty full. A little later, I had a spoonful of the daughters' Cookies and Cream Ice Cream. No chocolates followed. That's progress!
Have a great night =)

great eating you always have the best variety....I need to switch it up daily so I dont get bored...I get bored very easy!!!
The banana vitamuffins are the best! seriously, they taste like something my mom made when O was a kid, not like a prepackaged or 'healthy" muffin at all. I need to order more, but I have no room in my freezer because we keep buying ice cream novelties. :(
Bummer on the vita hearts being dry. They are SOOOO cute!!!
I can vouch for the banana nut...yum!!
All in all looks like a pretty good day for me. I need to remember that nonfat word when I order a iced latte. For some reason I have a hard time "special" ordering them...
Yummy stash of vitatops. I love all the flavors you picked. Too bad the hearts were not that good.
Oh gosh your food looks so good. Have you tried the vitamuffins with the chocolate chips in them. Oh ,honey, they are to die for. So good.
That pizza looks really good too. mmmm.....
I love those little heart shape muffin things. It's a shame they are so dense. Maybe they need some ice cream on top. :)
Just catching up. I'm so sorry to hear about your friends father! On a brighter note it appears as though you are getting back on your game foodwise. Sucky that the hearts are not much good but maybe that isn't such a bad thing.
your pizza looks good! and so do the clementines... now i will have to get a bag of those when i go to trader joe's! ;)
I agree with you on the Vita Hearts - I think they use the brownie mix to make them and the vitabrownies are just not good to me. Yeah for all your vitatops though - fun mail!
Love that pizza!
Much much better than my Friday! I used almost all of my weekly "allowance"!
I'm loving your blog by the way.
vitatops! so lucky!
I loooove the banana nut flavor - its actually on of my favorites. For some reason I really like the bananana nut flavor over the chocolate-y ones.
hope you ahve a great weekend =)
Hang in there- it may be that your body is adjusting to your current weight or something else, but you are doing no harm. And sad the hearts were not to your liking- they are cute !
LOL! I need to jump on those vitamuffins. I always see them, but never get them. LOL. Anyways, sorry to hear the hearts weren't stellar, but they are adorable.
I've never tried Vitatops, but you've made me curious... :)
I didn't know vita-tops shipped! Thanks for that :) I think I'll try a pack from the store first and then maybe order some, good news they have a link to a Canadian store too, with shipping it works out to 2.25 a piece so I need to see if that's good vs the grocers
i have been on the fence on whether i should buy those vitamuffins.....i think this post has pushed me over to the you gotta try em side..they just seem so expensive. and why dont they have them at the stores! why do i have to go and order them online!!!
