Meat and Potatoes

I went with a good old meat and potatoes dinner tonight, but with a healthier twist. Instead of mashed potatoes with gravy, I had a sweet potato with some ICBINB spray. The roast beef was lean eye round and I had 4 oz. of that. Then a heaping serving of fresh broccoli with evoo and garlic. Hearty and comforting; all for 8 Points...

I had 3 Points left for dessert. Yay! I had 1/2 c. Breyers Fat Free Double Churn Caramel Swirl Ice Cream and 1/2 of a huge Nonni's Biscotti...

I finished off the night with a cup of Celestial Seasonings Gingerbread Tea and quickly ran upstairs. I have sequestered myself here so that I will not be tempted to dig into anything else in the kitchen. Hooray for my first on program day of the new year!!!!

Marissa, I am NOT letting you cheer me from the sidelines!! (those that think I'm a crackpot, Marissa wrote on my blog about the Biggest Loser Blog Challenge)

Listen Lady... I have been maintaining at 145 (minus this Christmas crapolla) since JUNE. I am using this challenge to kick my own ass into shape. YOU are ME in so many ways, and if I can bloody well swallow my tongue and sign up SO CAN YOU!

(wheedling voice) Okay, this is me begging. Don't let me do this alone!!! I'm freaked out that I'm the only one in my position/shape on that challenge, and I'm scared spitless. Do it with me?????

*gets down on one knee* Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease????

Ugh, Dee - your killing me! I am a people pleaser so I hate to say no; don't like to disappoint. Let me sleep on it in the hopes that I will muster up some colossal size b*lls to do this!

love - thanks:) I am happy that I stuck to the plan today!

Okay, you have a night to think about it... lol.

Just keep this in mind... the definition of insanity is doing the same things over and over, and expecting different results. This is one heckova opportunity to boot your own butt and do something different.

I think you are worth it... do you?

:o)

Have you tried the Sugar Cookie Celestial Seasoning tea? So good!

Adding you to my blogroll!

I agree with Dee - you are worth it :o) Hi Marisa! Thanks for the comment on my blog. Coffee Cocoa = the only way to drink coffee! Haha not really, but I love it, and it's super easy. I have my recipe and method posted here, and you can obviously make substitutes to create the drink that YOU like the best: http://eatingbender.wordpress.com/sunday-brunch/coffee-cocoa/

Let me know if you try it!

Oh, I should have purchased that gingerbread tea when I saw it in stores! But now I can't find it anywhere! What a shame, hey?!

Okay, Dee - for the record, I cave to peer pressure :) I'm in. I signed up this a.m. with my stinky start weight and a weigh-in day of Wed.(in keeping with my WW day). You're right, I do need the butt kicking and I spent some time thinking that I don't ever really challenge myself to do things for fear of failure. So, now here I am, part of a team that I can't let down. Ugh, I hate responsibility :)

YES!!!!

You know, I actually woke up this morning thinking about you. Thinking about how similar you and I seem to be.

Trust me, I waffled back and forth before committing, too. But then decided that if I don't do this, I'm giving myself permission to fail!! How sad is that!?!

We are totally going to ROCK this thing!!

I'm so proud of you!!!! Hell, I'm so proud of US!!!

That is so funny... I tend to go to bed early so that I stop eating too! Sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do lol. I find brushing my teeth if I feel the need to eat when I'm not really hungry helps too.

Good luck with the BLBE! You can do it... You're already off to a great start :)
